Gellak is Gellak, zou je denken. Echter is het niet zo simpel als het lijkt, want wanneer het aankomt op gellak, zijn er namelijk diverse aspecten waar je rekening mee dient te houden. Wat die aspecten zijn? In dit artikel zetten we de 5 belangrijkste aspecten om rekening mee te houden bij het kopen van gellak, op een rijtje.
Waar de ene gellak op dezelfde dag dat je hem aanbrengt nog weg is, blijft de andere gellak wekenlang zitten. Het ene gellakje is daarnaast zeer vloeibaar, terwijl de ander eerder stroperig is en waar de ene gellak een base-, en topcoat vereist, kan de ander ook prima zonder. Maar waar houd je nog meer rekening mee bij het kopen van gellak?
Basecoat, gellak en een topcoat
Zoals eerder benoemd vergt de ene nagellak weinig bijzonders, terwijl de ander niet alleen het lakje op zich vergt, maar daaronder ook nog eens een basecoat met bovenop de basecoat en de gellak, een topcoat. Hoewel dat klinkt als een hele mond vol, is het in principe niet verkeerd om de base-, en topcoat gewoon in je nagellak routine te prenten. Wat voor nagellak je ook hebt: base-, en topcoats zorgen er eigenlijk te allen tijde voor dat je nagellak langer blijft zitten. Daarnaast kan het lakken van je nagels best wat tijd in beslag nemen, mits je het goed doet, waardoor je het dus veel beter gewoon in een keer goed kan doen.
Maak gebruik van tools
Naast de nagellakken op zich, vergt het op nette wijze aanbrengen van nagellak de nodige tools en accessoires. Hergebruik bijvoorbeeld een nagellak borsteltje om de randen van je nagels in orde te brengen. Nagellakken is namelijk best precisiewerk, waardoor het de beste kan overkomen dat er buiten de lijntjes wordt gelakt. Is dit het geval, dan wens je dit natuurlijk zo snel mogelijk te corrigeren. Een oud borsteltje dompel je in gellak remover en haal je langs het nagelbed, en klaar is kees.
Bekijk de achterkant van het potje
Wanneer nagellak over de datum is (ja, óók nagellak kan overstuur raken, dit herken je aan de zeer stroperige structuur die dan optreedt), kan je deze beter weggooien. Niet alleen, omdat dit het nagellakken een stuk gecompliceerder maakt, maar ook omdat deze veel moeilijker opdroogt en daardoor aanzienlijk minder lang blijft zitten. Op de achterkant van een potje nagellak, kan je lezen hoe lang het lakje houdbaar is. Handig!
